How this site is paid
A single source of income, disclosed on every button that uses it: Starlink’s referral reward.
Will Starlink Work surveys whether Starlink can work at your house. It pays for itself through one thing: Starlink’s own referral program, which rewards an existing customer when a first-time customer signs up through their personal link. Buttons on this site that carry that link say so right beside them.
Who gets what from a referral sign-up
| Who | What Starlink says happens |
|---|---|
| You, the new customer | $100 as account credit by default, which Starlink takes off your next bill, once your service is two months old |
| This site | A reward equal to the new customer’s |
| Your price at checkout | Whatever starlink.com shows for your address. We can’t see it or change it. |
The conditions Starlink sets
- You’ve never had a Starlink subscription before.
- The house you’re ordering for is in the US, the same country as the referrer’s.
- Both the kit and the subscription are bought on starlink.com itself; kits from stores, unauthorized resellers or private sales are excluded.
- Plans that count: Residential Max, 200 Mbps or 100 Mbps; Roam Unlimited, 300GB or 100GB; and the legacy Residential and Residential Lite plans.
Starlink runs the program, sets the amount and can change either at any time. We don’t promise the reward: Starlink decides each case.
Pages with the link, and pages without it
Carry the link
The home page, the two tools, and guides that help you decide whether to buy. On guides it sits near the end, after a “Don’t order yet if…” box. A one-time pop-up can appear on a first visit to one of these pages.
Never carry it
Pages for people who already own a dish (such as fixing an obstructed one), the rules hub, the FAQ, and every trust and legal page, this one included.
The link URL is always https://starlink.com?referral= plus our code, it opens a new tab, and it passes nothing about you.
Lines we don’t cross
- No ads, sponsored rankings, paid placements or payments from installers, stores or mount makers.
- No forms or address checks: the tools never ask where you live.
- The reward isn’t described as a discount or a code, and nobody is told to keep Starlink just until the credit arrives. If your sky or your rules don’t fit, the advice is to wait.
